Completing my BSN course will be a significant milestone in my professional life as a nurse. This program has helped me to develop both professional and life skills. I met with my preceptor several during the week. The first task I accomplished during the week was to complete the Individual Success Plan. I developed a schedule for completing practice hours and course objectives during this exercise. The Individual Success Plan will serve as a self-assessment tool after every week. The goals should be met within the timeframe (10 weeks) indicated in the plan. Hire our assignment writing services in case your assignment is devastating you.
New practice approaches are new interventions that can improve the quality of care administered to patients. Discussions with my preceptor revealed that various healthcare facilities apply different interventions in their daily practice. I want to advocate for nursing practices that reduce diabetic complications in the healthcare facility. Currently, nurses in the health care facility manage already established diabetic complications. Frequently encountered difficulties include diabetic foot, diabetic nephropathy, and diabetic retinopathy. Multidimensional nursing care is used in my facility to manage these complications. It has led to an improvement in the prognosis of diabetic complications. However, other new practice approaches exist. The approaches will ensure that nurses are actively involved in preventing diabetic complications. Such approaches include active participation in patient education, regular screening, and follow-ups. I came across the new practice approaches during my literature search.
This week’s discussion questions were vital because they prompted the class to brainstorm on the best research databases to get scholarly articles. Google Scholar and PubMed are examples of the databases suggested during the discussion. I look forward to the debate and fulfillment of next week’s objectives.
